RSN303: Russian Short Story
The unit is taught in Russian. Writers such as Pushkin, Turgenev, Tolstoy and Chekhov from the nineteenth century and Bunin and Babel from the twentieth century will be studied. There will be a strong emphasis on literary style and universality of theme. This unit provides the necessary support for students specialising in the Russian language.
Assessment is based on four essays and class presentation.
