RSN350: Advanced Russian I
This is a 3 credit point course which is designed for students who have completed either RSN255 or its equivalent elsewhere. Students now proceed to a deeper understanding of the structure of the Russian language. In this course, the emphasis will be placed on contemporary standard Russian in the widest possible context. Much attention will be given to the active use of the language. The course includes practice in speaking, understanding, reading and writing Russian through the use of authentic Russian language materials. RSN350 is offered in internal and external modes. A two-hour lecture and a two-hour tutorial are offered for internal students per week. All study materials for lectures and tutorials, as well as assignments, are available at https://learn.mq.edu.au/. External students receive recordings of the lectures on CDs. iLectures can also be accessed. There will be one on-campus session during the semester for external students living in the Sydney metropolitan area.
