SOC182: Economy and Society

This introductory course offers students insights into the workings of the economy from a social perspective. The course considers a range of topics relevant to how social actors conduct themselves in the marketplace, how markets help to structure social life, and how inequality in the market emerges and is reinforced. Students will also investigate a range of how markets help to structure social life.
